Phillips Carrying Rollers

We Understand the Big Picture

Phillips is more than a capable machine shop. 30 successful years of maintenance services in a wide variety of industries has provided us with a thorough understanding of the “workings” of roller-supported rotary equipment. Our knowledge of the application allows us to look at the complete picture when supplying or rebuilding a roller.

We Make Rollers Everyday

Rollers are a major part of our business and our roller machine shop is exclusively equipped and tooled to make carrying rollers every day. We supply rollers to the cement, lime, pulp/paper, fertilizer, chemical and asphalt industries, just to name a few.

We Make Rollers to Exact Specifications

Phillips engineers can help you choose the proper material and construction required for your application. Material hardness, type of alloy, solid forged or sleeved; our engineers will help you choose the appropriate roller construction for your equipment and operating environment.

We Make Rollers of All Sizes

Rollers from 6 inches to 71’ and to 25 tons are machined for use on dryers, coolers and other rotary equipment. Each roller is machined to your exact specifications.

The best rollers start with the best solid forgings. Rollers are machined to exact specifications. Shrink-fit shafts are up to 3 times stronger than a comparable press fit.

Phillips Sleeved Rollers

Sleeved Rollers are Guaranteed

A refurbished carrying roller using Phillips' shrink-fit process is guaranteed not to loosen. Seamless, thick wall forged sleeves provide uniform strength and hardness throughout the roller. Our proprietary knowledge of the proper combination of sleeve thickness and fit is the key to Phillips’ guarantee.

Sleeved Rollers are an Economical Solution

Sleeving damaged rollers can be an economical repair alternative. Phillips can re-manufacture your worn cast-type roller and provide you with forged performance by shrinking the sleeve over your old cast core. Refurbishing worn internal bearing rollers also provides cost-saving benefits. Phillips engineers can help you determine if this process will be your most economical solution.

Sleeved Rollers are Made to Customer Specifications

All sleeved rollers are heat-treated or hardened for proper compatibility with the riding ring.

The best sleeves start with the best forgings.
Sleeves are machined inside and out.

Shrink-fit sleeved rollers are many often an economical solution to your spare roller problem
